Comics Crux

Amy Reeder and Brandon Montclare are joining forces and tackling the Kickstarter challenge, although it doesn’t look like much of a challenge for them. As of this writing, Halloween Eve still has 24 days to go and is only $1,052 away from their initial $10,000 goal. I have personally pledged a paltry twenty dollars that will land me signed copies of the full script, Reeder’s rough layouts, one signed comic, and one greeting card. I encourage anyone who is a fan of Amy Reeder’s work with DC (like her run on Batwoman…) or of Brandon Montclare’s work with Marvel to support their creator-owned endeavors.

Per their Kickstarter page, “HALLOWEEN EVE is a 40-page (32 story pages plus other content) full-color comic, due out in October 2012 to celebrate Halloween.  It’s a stand-alone, self-contained tale of magic and adventure.  It’s geared toward teen and adult audiences.”
