Comics Crux

     

Since it’s re-launch in July of 2011, with the excellent writing of Mark Waid, readers of Daredevil have been treated to some amazing artwork by Paolo Rivera, Marcos Martin and, most recently, Chris Samnee, but now, that list of fantastic artists will grow by one this August with issue 17 of the series.  Marvel released some preview pages of art done by the dynamic talents of husband and wife team, Mike and Laura Allred today and the early goings, personally, look fantastic.

Mike, famously known for his book, Madman, and, recently, his art on iZombie, is a three-time Eisner award winning artist. According to Marvel Senior Editor, Stephen Hacker, “It’s the issue Mike Allred was born to draw”. This will only be a one-issue engagement, so if you haven’t been reading Daredevil recently, but are a fan of Allred’s then this will be a perfect opportunity to dive into what has been one of Marvel’s best books of the last year. 

Be sure to pick your copy up at your local LCS or digitally on August 15^th.
