Have you ever wanted to play a deck building game, but just couldn’t find one you really connected with? Well, Upper Deck Entertainment will be launching a Marvel-based deck building game of their own called Legendary.
Legendary will feature a game design by Devin Low, the former Head Developed for Magic: The Gathering that allows you to start with a basic set of cards which you can improve upon throughout the game. So you’ll be collecting Marvel’s greatest heroes - like Iron Man or Spider-Man - in an effort to defeat super villains like Dr. Octopus.
In Legendary, the super villains will be able to fight back, and each time you play, you’ll come up against a new, evil scheme that a villain has created. But not only will you be able to fight against foes such as Magneto, but you’ll also have to deal with conflicts within your own team as well.
There are some added bonuses to the game, such as original art, over 500 cards available, building your own team of Marvel superheroes, making up combos as you fight your enemies and much more.
Upper Deck Entertainment plans to release Legendary in November of this year, and will be previewing the game next week at Gen Con Indy.

Looks like they’ve redone the VS system and made it a standalone.
