Comics Crux

   

Saying that I am fan of Archie Comics would be a definite overstatement. I’ve never been able to enjoy them sincerely, although there are quite a few issues that I’ve been able to enjoy ironically. I give full and proper respect to the longevity of the series and the impact that it’s had on the creator’s that I love (Jaime Hernandez immediately springs to mind), but I generally avoid it. But not this  time. This time, for a very special Archie #636, the citizens of Riverdale are getting Rule 63’d. 

From what I can ascertain from the pages below, it all starts when Sabrina’s cat, Salem, overhears the ladies and gentleman arguing over how hard/easy it is to be their respective sexes. “It’s hard to be a girl because we require a lot of upkeep and yearly maintenance” vs “It’s easy to be a girl because you have magic lady-charms”. To teach the rude men a valuable lesson, he turns them into smoking hot ladies. And then spies on the newly-female Archina and Regina with cat magic.

You’ve won my #2.99 this time, Archie Comics. Well played.
