With superhero movies steadily increasing the popularity and visibility of comics, it’s just another step to transfer these characters to another medium; the Android.

First is Dark Knight Rises, priced at $6.99, while on the more expensive side, is based off of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. As Batman, you’ll have access to his utility belt as well as taking part in missions ranging from hostage situations to car chases. You’ll have your same allies from the movie franchise, such as Lucius Fox, Commissioner Gordon and Catwoman.

Next is X-Men, priced at .99 cents that has a more retro feel to it with graphics and costumes from the comics in the early 90s. You’ll have access to many familiar faces like Nightcrawler, Magneto and Storm. Additionally, this app includes a Wi-fi based multiplayer feature.

Then there’s The Amazing Spiderman, another app priced at $6.99, developed by Gameloft and based on the recent film starring Andrew Garfield. And just like in the movie, you’ll fight against the Lizard throughout New York City. The game also allows you to just visit various parts of the city, such as Central Park and residential neighborhoods.

Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty, is an affordable app for .99 cents that allows you to play against HYDRA minions as Captain America, using your powered up Shield to take down enemies. As an extra bonus, there are comic book panel style cut scenes which should make the game all the more interesting.

Finally there’s The Adventures of Tintin, the final app priced at $6.99, you play as Tintin while he investigates the mystery of the Unicorn and find the treasure in this amazing 3D game, almost looking like a console game. There’s a lot of adventure in this game as your get a chance to pilot a plane, and play as various characters (like Sir Francis Haddock) in certain levels.

So if you’re interested in some new apps for your Android, and love comics, these are definitely worth checking out.
