I’ve only recently starting reading The Goon through the series of standalone issues Eric Powell has been doing. With the assistance of Tom Sniegoski with Eric Powell’s writing, the issue takes the story in a darkly hilarious direction, and continues a fun backup tale with Powell writing and Mark Buckingham drawing it. I’m in shock I didn’t start reading this series sooner because if I wasn’t already invested in this title, what happens here has me hooked.
