Do you want to write comics? If so, you probably know how hard it is to break into the industry, with a massive number of writers vying for the relatively small pool of artists and publishers willing to work with them. It’s relatively rare for major artists to open themselves up to working with amateurs, but that’s exactly what Rob Liefeld is doing with his recently announced “Extreme Talent Contest.”

Bandai has refurbished its official portal English language site for Gundam info which contains all sorts of information (such as video, music, events, games, publications and other products) pertaining to Gundam. One several new features allows users to create Namco Bandai IDs that will allow players to create Gundam avatars and fight other visitors - which is pretty awesome.

For anyone aspiring to be a manga author, there’s a talent contest taking place right now that you can enter! The publishing titan, Kodansha, has teamed up with the art community Pixiv for a scouting competition that will land your work in one of five magazines: Nakayoshi, Aria, Sirius, Desert, and Itan.

Who can forget the adorable Volkswagen commercial featuring a determined pint-sized Darth Vader? Or the chorus of dogs barking the Imperial March to tease an upcoming Super Bowl commercial? This year, Star Wars is joining forces (heh heh) with Pringles again to let fans submit their ideas for a Pringles Star Wars video.

You lucky ducks have the opportunity to win two tickets to The Dark Knight Rises: The IMAX Experience. We are all waiting to see exactly how Chris Nolan has decided to end his run on DC’s biggest movie franchise and there’s no better way to see it then on the IMAX’s 52’x72’ screens. This showing is particularly awesome because TDKR has the most IMAX footage ever shot for a Hollywood feature, clocking in at a little over an hour. So how does one manage to snag these fantastic and most certainly life changing tickets? Follow Comics Crux on twitter and retweet like mad. Once we reach 200 followers, one of you will be randomly selected to score these tickets to your nearest IMAX theater.
