Even if you’re not a regular Marvel Comics reader, you’re probably aware of just how often the adjective “uncanny” is included in their titles. There’s Uncanny X-Men, Uncanny X-Force, Uncanny Avengers… I had to Google the definition to remind myself exactly what it meant. (For future reference, via Merriam-Webster: “seeming to have a supernatural character or origin; suggesting superhuman or supernatural powers.”) Now it looks like Image Comics has adopted the word for one of their comics, poking fun at Marvel in the process. Image will reboot the series Skullkickers in February with Uncanny Skullkickers #1.

During their panel at SDCC, ShiftyLook announced their new comics and animated web series.
The first new comic in their line-up is a series written and drawn by Chris “Elio” Eliopoulous (Yo Gabba Gabba) titled Golly! Ghost! coming out in July. Essentially, Golly! Ghost! is “an eccentric arcade shooter from the 90s that keeps you blasting to keep supernatural denizens out of a haunted house”.
