ComiXology and HarperCollins Publishers have banded together and created the Warriors Manga iOS app that includes thirteen titles from the Warriors Manga series.

The director of the film Suicide Club, Sion Sono, is directing the film adaptation of Santa Inoue’s Tokyo Tribe2 manga, also known as Tokyo Tribe or Tribes as it was translated here by Tokyopop back in 2004. The manga itself, originally serialized in the Japanese fashion magazine Boon, focuses on different gangs at battle with each other within Tokyo.

Remember a few years ago when Tokyopop was at the head of the manga revolution and was at one point the second largest manga publisher in the U.S. next to Viz media? Remember that? And then things started to head south for the publisher.
