It seems like Frank Miller titles can’t get a break. Earlier this year, 300: Rise of an Empire was pushed back to 2014, and today news broke that Miller’s other creation - Sin City: A Dame To Kill For - would also be delayed until next year. This year is a crowded year for films, with about one thousand or more being released, so it makes sense that the film would be pushed back next year in a less competitive environment.

Alas Tom Hiddleston fans, Loki will not be in the Avengers sequel. In an recent interview on Empire’s podcast, Avengers writer-director Joss Whedon confirmed that the god of mischief will not appear in the upcoming sequel The Avengers 2.

While promoting White House Down on The Tonight Show, Jay Leno asked Jamie Foxx about the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2 film in which Foxx stars as the villain Electro. They discussed a few things – which included the Jheri-curl comb over hairstyle that Foxx’s character wears before his villainous transformation. They then went on to Foxx’s look as Electro and Foxx gave fans a little sample of how the character will sound.

Another manga gets the anime adaption treatment. According to Newtype magazine, the manga Akuma no Riddle (“The Devil’s Riddle”) will be turned into an anime next year. Created by Yun Kouga (Loveless, Earthian) and Sunao Minakata, the “extreme school life” manga follows an assassin from a girls school full of assassins, who falls in love with her class’ shared target.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released a new gameplay trailer for Batman: Arkham Origins for all to see! While the first trailer showcased an amazing fight between Deathstroke and the dark knight with cameos from Deadshot and the Black Mask, this new trailer announces some of the villains featured in this new addition to the Arkham series.

The 25th of this month brings the arrival of the merc-with-the mouth’s video game and I’m very stoked about that. But that’s not all that fans have coming their way. In true Deadpool fashion, July marks the arrival of the rest of Deadpool’s family at Comic-Con International in beautiful San Diego. While there, attendees will have the chance to purchase the Deadpool Corps, wrapped in a taco-truck package at the Hasbro booth.

Throughout the year there are many projects that use crowdfunding sites to raise the funds necessary to bring an idea to life. One such project comes from Premiere Pre and Post (P3) Production and it’s an awesome project that comic fans definitely will enjoy. P3 Series is trying to create their own Dick Grayson fan series and are looking to fans to help fund it.

Comic creator Kevin Mellon (artist of Lovestruck and American Muscle) posted on Twitter yesterday that he was releasing a new comic soon and today he revealed some further details about the now announced, Suicide Sisters:

This summer there are tons of exciting films dropping in theaters, and one that many moviegoers are extremely excited about is Pacific Rim. In a summer season which is full of comic book films, this movie is a unique entry in which giant robots called “Jaegers”, piloted by two people, fight giant monsters which have come from deep in the Pacific ocean to run amok on the human population.

Astro Boy is a classic manga that was written by the “father of manga” Osama Tezuka and holds the title for becoming the first Japanese produced TV anime. It’s also been attributed to shaping Japanese views on science and technology. The original series debuted in 1952 and if you weren’t around back then to read it, publisher Dark Horse offers a translation in print and digital formats. In honor of the classic manga, Dark Horse has created a featurette for anyone who is interested in learning more about Astro Boy.

Remember the time not so long ago when a movie came out about a certain character who’s the best at what he does and what he does isn’t very nice and many fans (such as myself) hated it and tried to forget that the film even existed? Well, while fans are (cautiously) looking forward to The Wolverine’s debut this July, Marvel Knights Animation is bringing us a film about the Ol’ Canucklehead’s origins that we might actually enjoy!

As we all know, when Disney purchased Lucasfilm a while back, Cartoon Network’s amazing animated series Star Wars: Clone Wars was canceled, and fans mourned. Well, fans can now rejoice as Lucasfilm has officially announced that production has begun on a new animated series titled Star Wars Rebels, which is slated to premiere in the fall of 2014. The series will debut as a one-hour telecast on the Disney Channel and then will air as a series regular on Disney XD.
