The end is nigh. Actually, that’s a pretty unlikely scenario to say the least, but there’s nothing like a widespread end-of-the-world frenzy to make you look back and take stock of your life. Since we here at Comics Crux have lives revolving entirely around comics, this led us to wax romantically about those comics and series that made us glad to be a part of this world in the first place. Of course, because every fangirl or fanboy coin has a bitter side, we’ll also be looking at those comics that make us a little sad the world hadn’t ended just a bit sooner. Fell free to weigh in with your own love/hates in the comments.

Welcome to Deviant Wednesday, a special day when I channel the intense bitterness that comes from lack of any artistic ability into something productive: spotlighting a talented artist from DeviantArt.

We love comics. We eat, drink, breathe, and to the absolute utmost, we live comics. So what did the Comics Crux Crew pick up today and why? Lets find out!
Jess (@MadamComicBook)- If you follow me on Twitter, Facebook, on this column, or around my home, it’s pretty obvious by this point what my pull list will look like:

Jess (@MadamComicBook)- I should have known that this day would come, but I am young, and brash, and I don’t pay attention to dates. As much as I have railed against the concept of the DC zero issue, you would think that based on pride alone, I would walk away from them all. Well, lucky for me I have very little pride to speak of, so all but ONE of the comics on my list today are #0s.

Jess (@MadamComicBook)- Not a lot going on, comic-wise for me this week. Maybe that’s why I am going to be grabbing Justice League #12? Or, maybe it’s because DC earned my $3.99 by inciting me to rant about the Wonder Woman/Superman thing on a near daily basis before the issue was even in my hands?

Jess (@MadamComicBook)- My pull list this Wednesday is…odd. Topping the pile is Everybody Loves Tank Girl #2. I’ve already expressed my love of Alan Martin’s fantastic character, so it should go without saying that I will continue to buy whatever her image is slapped on.

Jess (@MadamComicBook)- Without any shame what so ever, I am looking forward to Marceline and The Scream Queens #2 more then any other title this week.
